I almost didn’t write a review of Mission Impossible. Let’s face it if you are going to see this movie then you know what to expect. This is everything you would want, with a splash of something a little more. The Impossible Mission Force, has been decommissioned by the new CIA chief (Alec Baldwin), after the IMF were implicated in an attack on the Kremlin. Watch the before and after pictures without a snigger, I dare you.

Ant Man
This one’s already been out a little while, and like many others I suspect, it was not at the top of my must watch list. That is a shame because this a very likeable movie with all the elements you would expect from the Marvel stable. Armed with a super-suit and the ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, cat burglar Scott Lang is our hero Ant Man, supported by his new mentor Dr. Hank Pym, played by Kurt Russel. Past experience with shrinking heroes has not always been good. The effects are often annoying and feel a little dated. However, in this outing it appears that this hero can hold his head up high, whether full size or shrunk down.
My pick for August
